Meet the Team
Delta Healthcare Foundation in Clark County
How our story began
Dr. Dino W. Ramzi and his wife Maria D. Ramzi first began the idea for a healthcare focuses foundation in 2013 on the heels of their very first Direct Primary Clinic (DPC) Summit. Their first beneficiaries came from a private clinic and from the Free Clinic of SW Washington that Maria identified as a volunteer. They knew their lives would improve with access to a quality Primary Care Provider (PCP) that would provide them with the continuity of care they needed.
Their dream of creating a foundation was put on hold when the duo opened their first Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinic in Battle Ground. Fast-forward from 2013 to this year, with the help and support of seasoned professionals in non-profits within our community, they’ve resuscitated the Foundation.
Over the past few months this Foundation has taken shape with the development of bylaws, policy and procedures, and the rebrand their DPC clinic to Delta Direct Care to compliment the Foundation. The Foundation has assembled a dynamic board of outstanding nonprofit community leaders. The first board meetings and planning retreat have taken place and the Foundation has adopted it’s mission and vision statements. The Foundation has also defined committees, appointed the committee chairs and conducted first committee meetings.
The Foundation’s first public event was on September for Give More 24 on Tuesday, September 19th. The Foundation team was in the community at Share and in Battle Ground, providing free sports physicals to student athletes in need.
